Policies and Procedures

Dress Code

Students are required to be dressed according to the specific dress code stated with each class description. Students not dressed appropriately will not be permitted to participate in class. The student’s body and face must be visible to enable quality instruction, placement, and correction. All jewelry should be removed before class and all students must have hair secured away from face.

Please refer to each class description for the rest of the dress code. Dance attire can be purchased through the school and accessory order forms will be available at registration and per request.

Attendance

Regular attendance to class is needed to advance technique. Students who are injured or ill but not contagious are encouraged to still attend class and remain engaged by offering feedback to their peers. Students who are ill and contagious or have a fever are asked to remain home to prevent spreading illness.

If classes are canceled due to weather or other circumstances, make-up classes and times will be determined at that time. Closures will be announced via our Facebook/Instagram pages and text message and consider weather conditions and the closures of businesses and schools in the area.

COVID-19 Precautions

With regulations that change frequently, we ask that all students and parents be flexible and accommodating, should the need for further precautions occur. We will be required to follow the facility’s and local guidelines. There will be hand sanitizer available for students and all shared dance items will be sanitized between student use. We do ask that all students bring their own water bottles as some facilities may still have water fountains closed.
